June Favorites

Well, hello there and welcome to the first post on Blonde To Boot! I am so happy you could take a peek at today’s post.

One of my goals for this blog is to do a monthly favorites. It could be anything really…but for the most part I will try to stick to fashion and beauty favorites. So let’s not waste another second and get right to it!

June Favorites Bannerclarisonic mia 21. Clarisonic Mia 2 – This little guy has changed my entire skin routine. I could honestly do an entire post about how it works and how it has changed my skin for the better, and I may do just that in the future, but for now I will leave it at a brief description.

It has a set timer for 1 minute. You do 20 seconds on your t-zone (it will vibrate to let you know to move on to the next area), 20 seconds on your forehead, and 10 seconds on each cheek area. This does not count as exfoliation though it may feel like it, so make sure you are still exfoliating your skin about two times a week.

I couldn’t bring myself to buy it as it is on the pricy side at about $150, so Mark bought the light green one for me when we first moved to Georgia as a “welcome home” gift. But I tell ya, it was worth every penny (or his pennies)! You can find them at the Clarisonic website, Ulta, Sephora or even on Amazon.

2. Ben Nye Banana Powder – All I have to say is thank you Ben Nye for this amazing powder! I have to admit, when I first heard of this product I immediately thought of Bill Nye the science guy. But in all seriousness, this has been my holy grail powder for the past two years and I’ve only had to buy it once! They come in 4 different shades, but I opted for the “banana” shade. It goes on smoothly either on its own or after you apply foundation. Either way it is flawless and lasts all day! You can find it here for $15 for the 1.5 ounce bottle. Trust me, it will last you a LONG time!

Merona Elaina Braided Shoe3. Merona Elaina Braided Flats – So funny story. The other day when I went to put on my tried and true black flats that I have owned for years, I thought to myself, “What in the world will I do when these finally break.” I kid you not, I walked into Starbucks not 30 minutes later and the strap that goes around the ankle snapped! I was so upset but had to laugh at the ridiculousness of the coincidence. Luckily Target was my next stop so I decided to graze through the shoes and stumbled upon the Merona Elaina Braided Flats. Since my sandals that had just broken were my only black flats, I decided to get the Merona sandals in black as well. I bought them when they were the original $19.99, but you’re in luck because they are now on sale for $14.99!! I suggest you grab yourself some if you are in the market for some comfy, yet cute black flats.

4. Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Sultry – I think Kylie Jenner’s new lip look is trending on basically all social media sites. You have to admit, the girl has been on point with her gloss lately. The lip color “Sultry” by Revlon is pretty close in shade to Kylie’s and is a great drugstore dupe for Urban Decay’s “Liar” which could also get you the Kylie look but is more high end.

jane bronzer5. Jane Bronzing Powder in Inspire – I have been on the hunt for a great bronzer, but one that won’t break my bank (Mark and I are currently ballin’ on a budget). I picked up the Jane Bronzing Powder in the shade “Inspire” the other week and have been loving it ever since. You can dust it lightly over your cheek bones to give that “I just left the beach look,” or you can do a slightly harsher line just under your cheek bones to contour your face (As an aside: don’t forget to lightly put the bronzer on your temples and top of your forehead to even out your contour and make it a more natural look).

Well that’s it ladies! I hope you have loved my June Favorites as much as I have the past month. I can’t wait to share my July Favorites with you!
